Goulburn Track Gets Tick From Golden Eagle-Bound Galloper

Exciting Tasmanian galloper The Inevitable, the winner of the Silver Eagle at Randwick recently, has continued his build-up to the $7.5 million The Iron Jack Golden Eagle with a rousing gallop at Goulburn on Thursday morning.

Trainer Scott Brunton was more than pleased with the workout and the surface on an idyllic tablelands morning.

“The Inevitable had an important gallop heading into the Golden Eagle here at Goulburn this morning on this beautiful track,” he said.

“He had a terrific workout with his stablemate and I was really happy with the way they finished off their work.

“We couldn’t have had a better surface to let him down on and we are very pleased going forward.”

That’s good news for Brunton and his exciting charge who has won three straight this preparation.

Brunton was bullish after this morning’s gallop giving a thank you shout out to Goulburn Race Club and a cheeky ‘giddyup’ to his galloper’s many followers!

The Inevitable is an $8 chance with TAB fixed odds for the Golden Eagle to be run at Rosehill Gardens on Saturday 2nd November.

The feedback from Brunton is good news for the Goulburn Club with Goulburn Cup Day and the $200,000 feature just around the corner on Sunday 3rd November.

The club will hold a morning tea/launch of the Goulburn Cup on Tuesday 29th October at 10am at the track, with industry participants welcome.
