It’s a race like no other – The James Squire Golden Eagle is a feature race in the ever-strengthening Sydney Everest Carnival and is set to be bigger and better in 2023.

The Golden Eagle, alongside Rosehill’s other great races the Golden Slipper and Golden Rose, creates a Golden trilogy that only champions can dream of.

The James Squire Golden Eagle takes flight at Rosehill Gardens on Saturday November 4th, 2023. The 1500m race for four-year-olds is Australia’s second richest race, with 10% of the $10 million in prizemoney being donated to charity. The Golden Eagle will see each horse partner with a charity, contributing to a total donation of $1 million. 

The centrepiece of spring racing for Sydney’s West, it is a landmark sporting and social event with award-winning hospitality and all the excitement of spring carnival race day. Come and join the party in 2023.
